About me

My name is Jaume Costa, and I currently combine my professional dancing career with being a sports and health psychologist.

During my professional training as a dancer, I always missed the collaboration and intervention of mental health professionals, which could have helped to improve and strengthen my mental function and thereby my performance

This lack of mental health support and attention led me to pursue my university degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, I realized that all the knowledge obtained during the years of my studies must be incorporated into the professional field of dance. This led me to continue my therapeutic training specialising in different areas and specialities within the world of psychology.

On one hand, I specialised in Sport and Performance Psychology focused on enhancing and optimising the functioning and performance of athletes and other elite professionals.

My passion for mental health and clinical psychology also led me to train as a health psychologist. This professional specialization enables me to deal with emotional and psychological conflicts and problems, as well as to assess and treat possible mental disorders.
